Agriculture Act to Be Implemented Soon, Says Minister Ramnath Adhikari

Agriculture Minister Ramnath Adhikari has said that the new Agriculture Act will be implemented within a few days. Speaking at the Agriculture, Cooperative and Natural Resources Committee meeting on Sunday, he informed that the draft is currently under discussion at the Ministry of Law.

"The Agriculture Act is coming soon. It is now under discussion at the Law Ministry. We will manage everything and take it to the Cabinet in a few days," Minister Adhikari said.

He added that the Act will help solve many problems in the agriculture sector. He also mentioned that farmer identity cards will be distributed based on the national ID system. In addition, he said efforts are underway to make the distribution of farm subsidies more effective.
