Three people were killed and one was seriously injured in a collision between two motorcycles on the Banadevi road section in Attariya, Kailali, Nepal along the Dhangadhi–Dadeldhura Highway, Nepal last evening.

According to the Area Police Office, Malakheti, the injured victims died while being taken to Dhangadhi for treatment. Police said 22-year-old Harish Oli from Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City died in the accident while riding a motorcycle with registration number Su Pa 01-0103187.

Similarly, Yogendra Shah, about 26 years old, from Godawari Municipality, Kailali, Nepal, who was riding motorcycle number Su Pa 01-009P 7781, and his pillion rider Harish Parki, around 23 years old, also died in the accident.

Another person, 23-year-old Jiwan Pathak of Godawari Municipality-6, Lalpur, who was riding pillion on Oli’s motorcycle, was seriously injured and is currently receiving treatment.

Police said preliminary investigation suggests the motorcycles were moving at speeds above 100 kilometers per hour, and parts of the motorcycles, including wheels, were scattered at the accident site. Authorities also noted that Shah had been involved in two motorcycle accidents earlier.

Police added that Oli was returning to Dhangadhi after attending a wedding in Godawari when the accident happened.
