Weather Update: Cloudy Skies and Rain Likely in Hilly Regions

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that the country is currently under the influence of westerly and local winds, along with some moisture from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.

As a result, western parts of Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as hilly areas, are experiencing partly to mostly cloudy conditions. The rest of the country remains mostly clear to partly cloudy.

Light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning has been recorded in some areas of Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces. A few other places across the country are also experiencing similar weather.

This afternoon, hilly regions including Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini are expected to stay partly to mostly cloudy. Other regions will be mostly clear to partly cloudy. There is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in many hilly areas and some other parts of the country. Light rain and snowfall may also occur in a few high hills and mountainous areas.

Tonight, the weather will remain partly to mostly cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki, while other areas will stay mostly clear to partly cloudy.
