Mexican Navy ship crashes in New York: 2 dead, 19 injured

A ship from the Mexican Navy crashed into the Brooklyn Bridge in New York, causing a serious accident. According to BBC, quoting Mayor Eric Adams, two people died and at least 19 others were injured.

The accident happened yesterday evening. Before the crash, the ship had lost balance. US officials said there were 277 people on board, and the ship was on a goodwill visit.

In videos taken during the accident, a tall mast on the ship can be seen hitting the bridge while passing under it. The mast then broke and fell onto the ship itself.

The Mexican Navy confirmed that the ship was damaged after hitting the bridge. They also said that further investigation is ongoing.
