The House of Representatives has sent two aviation-related bills to the concerned committee for detailed discussion.

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, presented the proposal in Sunday’s meeting to send both bills for clause-wise discussion.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire announced that the proposal was passed unanimously through a voice vote.

These bills will now be discussed in the International Relations and Tourism Committee under the House of Representatives. After the discussion, the committee will submit a report to the House.

The government has already included these bills in the policies and programs for the fiscal year 2025-26.

According to the proposed bills, the current Civil Aviation Authority will be split into two separate institutions. Nepal Civil Aviation Authority will act as the regulatory body, while Nepal Aviation Service Authority will function as the service provider.
