A 28-year-old man was brutally murdered in Ghodaghodi Municipality–8, Kailali, on Friday night after a dispute broke out while eating at a local eatery, police confirmed.

According to DSP Raj Kumar Singh, spokesperson for the Kailali District Police Office, the victim has been identified as Keshar Singh Budha, a resident of Chaukune Rural Municipality–3, Surkhet.

Police said two individuals involved in the incident, Bal Bahadur B.K. (18) and Ganga Budha Chhetri (19) of Ghodaghodi, surrendered themselves at the Sukhhad Area Police Office later that night. Shockingly, they arrived carrying the severed head of the victim.

Preliminary investigations suggest the three men had been drinking together at a local snack shop when an argument escalated into violence. The suspects then attacked Budha with a sharp weapon, fatally slashing his neck.

Authorities have taken the two suspects into custody, and further investigation is underway. Police said the body remains at the scene, as relatives of the deceased are on their way from Surkhet.
