In an effort to ease ongoing tensions and foster understanding, President Ram Chandra Paudel has invited representatives of the Gen Z movement for talks scheduled for 9 a.m. today (Saturday) at Sheetal Niwas.

Prime Minister Sushila Karki is also set to attend the meeting, according to the President’s Press Advisor Kiran Pokharel, while Government Spokesperson Jagadish Kharel confirmed official participation from the government side.

The dialogue comes amid growing public calls for accountability and reform, as the youth-led Gen Z movement continues to shape the national discourse.

A day earlier, President Paudel had met with key political leaders and Prime Minister Karki, urging them to focus on the upcoming elections, which he described as vital for maintaining democracy, stability, and constitutional integrity.

Friday’s consultations also helped renew communication between the government and political parties, marking a positive step toward reconciliation after weeks of strained relations.
