Makwanpur Police have arrested two individuals with 2 kilograms of a substance suspected to be opium.

 

According to police, the arrests were made on Magh 23 at around 1:30 pm during a road check at Thanabharyang in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City–11. Acting on a special tip-off, a police team from the District Police Office, Makwanpur, stopped a Pulsar motorcycle (Na 45 Pa 6418) for inspection.

 

Upon conducting a lawful search, police recovered 2 kilograms of a prohibited narcotic substance resembling opium from the possession of 28-year-old Rabindra Sintan and 36-year-old Ram Bahadur Dimdung, both residents of Raksirang Rural Municipality–4.

 

The seized narcotic substance and the motorcycle used have been taken into police custody. The two suspects are being held for further investigation after obtaining a remand from the Makwanpur District Court, Hetauda, the District Police Office stated.
