Nepali Communist Party (NCP) coordinator and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that his party also supports holding a fresh election. He said the party has been reformed by understanding the spirit and message of the recent Gen Z movement.

Speaking at a programme organized by NCP Kathmandu Constituency-5 on Sunday, Prachanda said the party was formed by bringing together 26 big and small political parties. He said the main goal of the party is to unite all communist forces in the country.

He also warned that democracy is being attacked through cyber space in the name of populism. He said some people are spreading misleading messages online, which is harming democracy.

Similarly, NCP candidate from Kathmandu-5 Kalpana Sharma said the country’s political direction has changed after the Gen Z movement. She claimed that the NCP must win the election to protect and strengthen this change.

During the programme, Prachanda welcomed senior athlete Renuka Shrestha and others into the party.
