Tourism Minister Directs Preparations for Grand Maha Shivaratri Celebration

Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, has directed authorities to ensure well-organized and grand preparations for Maha Shivaratri.

This morning, he visited Pashupatinath to check on the festival preparations and instructed the Pashupati Area Development Trust to make sure everything is managed smoothly. He emphasized that this year’s arrangements should be even better than before, allowing devotees to worship without any difficulties.

Minister Pandey highlighted that Maha Shivaratri is one of Nepal’s most important festivals, and since Pashupatinath is a symbol of the country’s identity, the celebration should reflect its true significance. He stated that the better the organization, the more meaningful the festival becomes.

He also mentioned that visitors from Nepal and abroad should have a pleasant experience at Pashupatinath during the festival. The more comfortable and happy they feel, the more the festival and Nepal itself gains recognition.
