A taskforce has been formed to facilitate the provision of services at hospitals operated by the Nepali Army, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Police to the general public. Health and Population Minister, Pradip Paudel, established the taskforce under the leadership of Additional Secretary Dr. Tanka Barakoti. The team is tasked with preparing a report and procedure for making these hospitals accessible to the public.

This initiative follows a cabinet decision made on May 17 to open these hospitals to civilians, along with the development of a framework and collaboration with relevant ministries to implement the plan. The taskforce includes representatives from the Home and Defense Ministries, security-run hospitals, and the Ministry of Health.
