An eleven-member subcommittee has been established to resolve issues related to the Civil Service Bill, 2024. The decision was made during a meeting of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee on Friday. Nepali Congress MP Dilendra Prasad Badu has been appointed as the head of the subcommittee, which will focus on addressing the controversial aspects of the bill.

Committee Chairman Ramhari Khatiwada explained that since discussions had failed to reach an agreement, forming the subcommittee was necessary. He emphasized the importance of working together to resolve the disagreements and ensure a smooth decision-making process.

The subcommittee has been tasked with speeding up discussions on service-related matters and presenting its findings to the main committee as soon as possible. It includes members from different political parties, ensuring diverse representation and perspectives in the decision-making process.

With a one-month deadline, the subcommittee will work toward a consensus and submit its report, aiming to resolve disputes and move the bill forward efficiently.
