Stock Market Sees Broad Gains, NEPSE Closes at 2,631.14 Points

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) saw a strong upward movement today, gaining 30.75 points to close at 2,631.14, up by 1.18% from the previous day.

During the trading session, 29.73 million shares of 319 companies were exchanged through 68,112 transactions, totaling Rs 9.20 billion in turnover.

While the trade group slipped by 1.10%, all other sectors ended in the green. The finance group led with a 5.17% rise, followed by life insurance at 4.35%. Gains were also seen in banking, development banks, hotels and tourism, hydropower, and microfinance, among others.

Top gainers of the day included Community Microfinance Financial Institution, Gurans Finance, Panchakanya Mai Hydropower, People’s Power, and Tehrathum Power Company, all of which hit the positive circuit. Meanwhile, Khanikhola Hydropower saw the biggest loss, dropping 4.76%.
