Russian Attack on Zelensky's Hometown Kills 16 People

A Russian missile attack on President Volodymyr Zelensky's hometown of Kryvyi Rih in Ukraine has left 16 people dead, including six children. The devastating strike, which occurred on Friday, also resulted in the destruction of 50 homes. Zelensky revealed that the missiles were specifically targeted at residential areas, causing widespread damage to families and properties.

In addition to the attack in Kryvyi Rih, Russia also targeted an energy facility in the city of Kherson. Zelensky condemned these strikes as "despicable" and called for stronger international action to prevent further such attacks. The Russian Ministry of Defense, however, justified the assault, stating that the missile strike was intended to disrupt peace talks between Ukraine and Western nations. The Ministry further claimed that the attack was a response to a meeting between Ukrainian military commanders and Western officials at a restaurant in Kryvyi Rih. This escalation highlights the ongoing tensions between Russia and Ukraine as the conflict continues to intensify.
