Rupandehi District Curfew Extended Amid Security Concerns

The Rupandehi District Administration has extended the curfew in the district as authorities work to maintain law and order. The curfew, originally imposed from 8:30 pm on Tuesday, has been re-imposed from 9:00 am today and will remain in effect until 7:00 pm, according to Chief District Officer Dr. Tokraj Pandey.

The extension comes amid concerns over possible demonstrations, processions, mob violence, and clashes. The administration had briefly relaxed the curfew for two hours, from 7:00 am to 9:00 am, before reinstating it.

Security forces, including the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force, have been mobilized across the district to ensure compliance and prevent disturbances. Authorities have urged all sections of society not to engage in any activities that could disrupt the situation, which is gradually returning to normalcy.
