The death toll from the bus accident in Tamakoshi River, Manthali-6, Ramechhap, has risen to 12. Chief District Officer of Ramechhap, Shyam Krishna Thapa, confirmed that six more bodies were recovered from the site.

 

According to Thapa, six people died during treatment at the hospital, while six bodies were found at the accident site. The bus, which had departed from Kathmandu via Dhobi, heading to Pokali in Okhaldhunga, fell into the Tamakoshi River.

 

Of the eight injured in the accident, seven have been sent to Dhulikhel Hospital for treatment. The bus, numbered Province 03–01–995 Kha 9975, fell into the river earlier this morning, according to police. The total number of passengers on board is still unknown. The Armed Police dive team is continuing the search. The identification of the deceased is still pending. The bus has been recovered from the river.
