The Communist Party of Nepal (NCP) has unveiled a brief election manifesto for the upcoming House of Representatives elections, aiming to protect and strengthen the federal democratic republic and move the country toward socialism.

Unveiling the document at the party office in Parisdanda, party coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ said the party’s core agenda includes inclusive democracy suited to a plural society, good governance, and a shift in the economic model. He stressed clear division of powers among federal, provincial, and local governments and greater public participation in state affairs.

The party has pledged to strengthen national sovereignty through political and economic self-determination, reduce foreign dependence, reform the electoral system, and further consolidate federalism. It also commits to proportional inclusion of women, workers, farmers, persons with disabilities, sexual and gender minorities, indigenous groups, Dalits, Madhesis, Muslims, Tharus, and other marginalized communities.

Economically, the NCP targets over 10 percent growth within five years, reducing multidimensional poverty to 5 percent, cutting import dependence, and promoting domestic production. Plans include building a green and digital economy, balanced public–private–cooperative development, and creating 150,000 jobs annually.

In the energy sector, the party aims to generate 10,000 MW of electricity in five years and 40,000 MW by 2100 BS, making Nepal a fully green-energy country. It also plans smart cities, smart villages, clean drinking water for all, and the construction of 500,000 housing units within five years, linking energy, infrastructure, and settlement development to achieve self-reliant and inclusive growth.
