Rabi Lamichhane, Chair of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has said that he speaks strongly in public because he feels the pain and struggles of ordinary people.
Speaking at an election rally in Itahari on Tuesday, Lamichhane explained why his speeches are often loud and direct. He said many people question his style and compare him to other leaders who speak softly and politely.
“People say I speak too strongly and ask why I can’t speak gently like other leaders. They wonder why I raise my voice. The answer is simple. Those leaders are not feeling the pain, but we are. When someone is hurt, they speak loudly. We are speaking from that pain,” he said.
Lamichhane also mentioned a recent incident where he raised his voice against illegal activities involving some individuals. He referred to a case related to Laxmi Pariyar and said he had to strongly protest, even inside a studio. He said such experiences make him speak more forcefully in public.
