Protests and Their Consequences for the Public

For days on end, the Kathmandu Valley has been witnessing a number of protests from teachers, pro-royalist forces and victims of cooperatives, micro-finances along its arteries. 

As the protests continue and the deadlock between the government and the protesters worsens, roads become the battleground more often than not. And it is the people who suffer the worst of consequences—in the form of disrupted traffic, disrupted economic activities, delayed results and other academic activities, lost opportunities and, in worst cases, loss of lives and destruction of properties.
