In Sudan, fighting between the army and a paramilitary group called the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has killed at least 57 people in the city of El Fasher, Darfur. This news was shared by the international news agency AFP.
The RSF attacked El Fasher, which is under army control. During the attack and shelling, many civilians lost their lives.
The United Nations said that just a few days ago, more than 400 people were killed in attacks by the RSF in El Fasher and nearby camps for displaced people.
The war between the army and RSF started in 2023, and many civilians have died since then.
For more than a year, the RSF has been trying to take control of cities in the Darfur region.
After the army recently took back control of the capital city, Khartoum, the RSF increased its attacks in Darfur.
This war has killed tens of thousands of people and forced around 13 million to leave their homes.
