President Ramchandra Paudel has directed that the upcoming elections be conducted in a clean, fair, and fear-free environment, emphasizing the need to strengthen, enhance, and make security arrangements effective. He also expressed confidence that the government will give special attention to arranging the necessary resources, facilities, and manpower for this purpose.

 

On Friday evening, at the President’s Residence Shital Niwas, President Paudel issued these directives during a meeting with the Home Minister and the heads of all four security agencies. “In a democracy, elections are the proper means to gauge the public’s opinion and provide a solution to the country’s current situation. Therefore, the government and security agencies will leave no stone unturned to ensure this election is conducted in a fear-free environment,” he said.

 

Quoting President Paudel, his press advisor Kiran Pokharel provided this information. The meeting was attended by Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, Chief of the Nepal Army Ashok Raj Shrestha, Inspector General of Nepal Police Dhan Bahadur Karki, Chief of Armed Police Force Raju Aryal, and Chief of the National Investigation Department Tekendra Karki.
