The ongoing 19th session of the National Assembly has been prorogued effective from 12:00 midnight on Friday.
President Ramchandra Paudel ended the current 19th session of the National Assembly from 12:00 midnight on Falgun 1, acting on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers. National Assembly Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal formally announced the prorogation while reading out the letter received from the Office of the President during the Assembly meeting.
In accordance with Article 93 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal, President Paudel prorogued the session based on the Cabinet’s recommendation dated Magh 26, 2082. As stated in the letter issued on Magh 29, the ongoing session automatically concluded from 12:00 midnight on Friday, Falgun 1, 2082.
During the meeting, the Chairperson read out the contents of the President’s letter and declared that the 19th session had officially ended from Friday night. – News Agency Nepal
