The CPN (Maoist Centre) Central Committee (CC) has concluded its two-day meeting, deciding to hold the party’s general congress in December and convert the CC into a general convention organizing committee.

The meeting also resolved to designate office bearers as the secretariat of the organizing committee, ensure proportional inclusion of Gen Z in party structures, prioritize IT-related works, probe leaders’ family networks in light of growing concerns over nepotism, and pursue unification with other parties sharing similar ideology.

Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, delivering his concluding remarks, announced that the party would form a commission to investigate the properties of its leaders and make their property details public. He emphasized that leaders and cadres must transform their cultural practices, personal lifestyles, and organizational approaches, warning that “old styles will not work now; we must adopt new methods, processes, and procedures.”

Prachanda also directed party members to provide written suggestions on how to build people-oriented relations and ensure leaders live accordingly. He further pledged that the Maoist Centre would help create a conducive environment for the House of Representatives (HoR) elections scheduled for March 5, 2026.

Before the conclusion, the meeting reviewed Prachanda’s report along with supplementary reports from Vice Chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Deputy General Secretary Janardan Sharma. The reports, along with additional proposals, will be discussed further in the party’s convention.
