PM Oli’s Spain Trip to Focus on Development, Diplomacy, and Diaspora

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is preparing to embark on an official visit to Spain this Saturday, leading a high-level Nepali delegation. The visit comes as he is scheduled to participate in the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development, which will take place in Spain from Asar 16 to 19 (June 30 to July 3).

This marks a significant moment in Nepal’s international outreach, as the country seeks stronger ties with global partners in development and economic cooperation. During his visit, PM Oli will engage in high-level talks with the Prime Minister of Spain. Officials have confirmed that important agreements will be signed between the two countries, particularly focusing on areas of cooperation and bilateral support.

Nepali Ambassador to Spain, Shanil Nepal, shared that preparations for the visit are complete and the Nepali community in Spain is eager to welcome their Prime Minister. "There is a sense of excitement and pride among Nepalis living here," he said.

In addition to participating in the international conference, PM Oli is expected to meet with Spanish business leaders and members of the Nepali diaspora. These interactions are aimed at building stronger economic and cultural ties. The embassy has also hinted at other key bilateral meetings planned during the visit.
