Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will address the Federal Parliament today (Friday) as the new budget session begins.
Sources say he will give his speech at the start of the session.
This budget session will focus on major national issues, economic plans and laws that need to be passed before the new fiscal year starts.
The session is scheduled to begin at 1 PM at the Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.
President Ramchandra Paudel summoned the session based on the government's recommendation, as stated in Article 93 of Nepal’s Constitution.
This session is very important because the government will present its annual policies and programs, followed by the national budget.
The Parliament will also discuss important bills that are still waiting to be passed, like the Federal Civil Service Act and the School Education Bill.
The last session ended on March 31. According to the Constitution, there must not be more than six months between two sessions.
