On behalf of the government of Nepal, President Ramchandra Paudel will present the policies and programs of the government for the coming fiscal year (2025-26) in the Federal Parliament on May 2, 2025.
After the president’s presentation, the lawmakers will get 48 hours for registering amendments to the government’s roadmap.
The plan is to have the policies and programs passed before May 12 and then start pre-budget discussions. The existing practice is to provide suggestions to the Ministry of Finance after wrapping up the discussions.
As per the prevailing practice, the Finance Minister shall present the budget for the upcoming fiscal year on May 29 this year (Jeth 15, 2082).
