Parliament Sessions Continue Today to Discuss Government Plans

Following President Ramchandra Paudel’s presentation of the government’s policies and programs for the fiscal year 2082-83 BS (2025-26), both houses of Nepal’s federal parliament are set to resume deliberations today (May 6).

The House of Representatives will convene at 11:00 am, while the National Assembly will meet at 12:15 pm, according to the Parliament Secretariat. The discussions which began on Monday aim to evaluate and provide feedback on the proposed priorities.

President Paudel had addressed a joint session of both houses last Friday, outlining the administration’s goals for the upcoming fiscal year. Lawmakers from various parties are now taking turns expressing their views, raising concerns and offering suggestions regarding the presented plans.
