Cloudy Weather with Rain Likely in Hilly and Himalayan Regions

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said that the current weather in Nepal is being affected by western and local winds. Moisture-filled air from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea is also influencing the weather slightly.

According to the department, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy across the country this afternoon. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in some hilly areas and a few other parts of the country. In the Himalayan region, light rain and snowfall are also expected.

Tonight, the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces will remain partly to mostly cloudy. The rest of the country will see partly cloudy to clear skies.

Rain with thunder and lightning may occur in some areas of Koshi, Gandaki and Sudurpaschim, and in a few places in other provinces. There is also a chance of light snowfall in one or two places in the Himalayan region.
