Pakistan has alleged that India is preparing for a military strike within days, using the recent Jammu–Kashmir attack as justification.

The relationship between India and Pakistan has become more tense following a recent attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan has accused India of planning further military action in response to the incident.
According to BBC, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif told Reuters in an interview that India might take a major step at any time, so the Pakistani army has been kept on alert. He also said that some important strategic decisions have already been made.
He added that Pakistan would only use nuclear weapons if there is a direct threat to the country’s existence. After his statement, Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar also posted a video on X (formerly Twitter) this morning, saying that intelligence agencies have warned India might attack Pakistan within 24 to 36 hours, using the Pahalgam incident as an excuse.
Pakistan has also reached out to countries like China, the United States and the United Kingdom, asking for help to control the situation.
