Today, the Palestinian group Hamas is set to release three more Israeli hostages. This is the fourth exchange of prisoners between Israel and Palestine under the ceasefire agreement.
The Israeli Prime Minister has received the list of hostages to be released. Unfortunately, Nepali prisoner Bipin Joshi is once again not included in the list, which is sad news for the Nepali people. Since the start of the ceasefire agreement on January 19, Palestine has released a total of 15 hostages. In return, Israel has freed 290 Palestinian prisoners.
Last Thursday, Hamas released three Israeli hostages and five Thai hostages. Before that, seven hostages, including four Israeli female soldiers, were freed. The second phase of the ceasefire talks is scheduled to begin 16 days after the first phase. It will include the release of the remaining hostages and the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
