Despite having well-equipped universities, colleges, and educational institutions in Nepal, the number of students going abroad for studies continues to rise.

According to data released by Nepal Rastra Bank, Nepalis sent around NPR 14.31 billion abroad for education in the first month of the current fiscal year. While this is slightly lower than the NPR 14.96 billion sent during the same period last year, the outflow of funds remains significant.

The trend highlights the persistent preference among students for foreign education, despite growing domestic academic facilities.
