Nepal delivered a solid all-round performance to overpower Oman in the Super Six clash held last night, securing their position as group leaders with 8 points. Oman, meanwhile, slipped to second with 6 points.
Batting first after winning the toss, Nepal posted a competitive total of 151 for 9 in 20 overs. Opener Kushal Bhurtel was the star of the innings, smashing 69 runs off 51 balls with seven boundaries and a six. Asif Sheikh supported with 24, while contributions from Adil Alam (16) and Gulshan Jha (18) helped Nepal reach a defendable score.
In response, Oman faltered under pressure, managing just 113 for 9 at the end of their innings. Gulshan Jha led Nepal’s bowling attack with an impressive 3 wickets for 31 runs, while Sompal Kami and Nandan Yadav picked up two each.
With this victory, Nepal not only strengthened their bid for the title but also maintained momentum heading into their final Super Six match against Samoa on Friday. The team has already booked its spot in the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup, and another win would seal a perfect finish to their qualifying campaign.
