Health Minister Pradip Paudel has urged women over 30 to get tested for cervical cancer.

In a video message today, he encouraged women to take the test as part of the government’s campaign to detect non-communicable diseases throughout the month of Falgun. The government aims to screen 500,000 women this year.

To raise awareness and ensure early detection, Minister Paudel called on public representatives, social workers, journalists, female health volunteers, and healthcare workers to actively support the campaign.

He also asked families to encourage women over 30 to get screened.

Cervical cancer is a leading cause of death among women in Nepal, but doctors say it can be cured if detected early.
