The Mahakali Highway in Salsena, Dogadakedar Rural Municipality-5, has reopened after being blocked by a landslide last night, police said. Inspector Baldev Badu of Baitadi Police confirmed the resumption of traffic but warned that the area remains at risk of further slides.

This is the second time in a week that the highway has been disrupted by landslides, with a similar incident occurring last Tuesday.

Meanwhile, continuous rainfall has also caused a landslide along the Sillegada-Kalagauin-Purchaudi road, blocking the route for the past three days. The landslide occurred in Dandajer, Dogadakedar-2, confirmed Narendra Bhat, Principal of Rauleshwar Secondary School in Kafalkot.

Local residents reported that vehicular movement has been completely halted and pedestrians face significant risk. Authorities have been urged to clear the debris and ensure safe passage.
