The Madan Puraskar Guthi has announced the shortlist of seven books for the prestigious Madan Puraskar 2081. The list was released on Tuesday through a press statement by the Guthi’s chairman, Kunda Dixit.
From a total of 299 submissions received this year, seven books have been selected for final consideration. The shortlisted titles include Uramaal by Chhuden Kabimo, Chhalbato: Kailash Dekhi Ganga Samma by Ramesh Bhusal, Darjyu Sanlap by Kumari Lama, Panchatatwako Paalaam by Man Prasad Subba, Bahurupi by Shreyaj Subedi, Bhikshu, Byapar ra Bidroha by Sudhir Sharma, and Hiun Ko Geet by Tirtha Gurung.
According to the Guthi, one of these titles will be chosen as the winner of the Madan Puraskar, one of Nepal’s most respected literary awards, recognizing outstanding contributions to Nepali literature.
