LMC Mayor Maharjan Urges Municipalities to Share Best Practices

Lalitpur Metropolitan City Mayor Chiribabu Maharjan has stressed the need for better cooperation among municipalities to share good ideas and improve local governance.
 

During a meeting with representatives from Sharda municipality in Salayan district—Lalitpur’s sister city—Mayor Maharjan said that learning from each other’s successes can help all municipalities grow and prosper.
 

He also said, “Municipalities that are doing well financially should help others,” and added that Lalitpur has stayed focused on the needs of its people by solving local problems and listening to the community.
 

Sharda municipality Mayor Prakash Bhandari praised Lalitpur’s progress but shared his concerns about not being able to carry out similar development work because of limited funds.
