On the third day of the US-Israel joint attack against Iran, the streets of Jerusalem appeared calm. Normally busy roads now showed only a few pedestrians.
Footage captured on the ground by reporters from China Media Group (CMG) showed that most shops were closed, particularly along Jaffa Street, a major commercial thoroughfare in Jerusalem, which looked completely different from a normal day.
Shoppers, trams, and vendors that usually fill the streets were largely absent. Only sporadic pedestrian traffic was seen, and there was a notable increase in police patrols and emergency personnel.
The increased presence of vehicles and rescue teams from Israel's Magen David Adom reflected the ongoing tension and heightened alert due to missiles launched by Iran.
Public transportation was operating normally, although traffic on usually crowded main streets had significantly decreased.
Early Tuesday morning, air-raid sirens sounded across northern, central, and southern Israel.
The Israeli military confirmed it detected missile launches from Iran and was actively intercepting them. Magen David Adom reported no casualties or injuries from Tuesday’s attacks.
