The Indian armed forces on Wednesday launched precision strikes on nine terrorist camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Media reports quoted the Ministry of Defense as saying that the action was aimed at destroying terror infrastructure involved in cross-border attacks.

According to media reports, main targets of the operation were:

Markaz Subhan Allah, Bahawalpur
This Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) camp is used for training and brainwashing youth. It is linked to the 2019 Pulwama attack. Spread across 15 acres, the site houses over 600 cadres and lies close to the India-Pakistan border.

Markaz Taiba, Muridke
Lashkar-e-Taiba’s largest and most active training centre is located in Muridke near Lahore. The site includes a madrassa, living quarters, and training grounds. It trained the 26/11 Mumbai attackers, including Ajmal Kasab.

Sarjal Facility, Shakargarh, Narowal
This JeM facility is used for pushing terrorists across the border into Jammu and Kashmir. It’s also known for building underground tunnels and launching drones to drop arms in India.

Mehmoona Joya Facility, Sialkot
Hizbul Mujahideen runs this camp near a local hospital. It serves as a base for infiltration and weapons training. Key commander Irfan Tanda, linked to past bombings in Jammu, operates from here.

Markaz Ahle Hadith, Barnala (PoJK)
Located near the border, this Lashkar camp is used to prepare terrorists for entry into India’s Poonch and Rajouri regions. Around 40-50 operatives stay there at a time.

Markaz Abbas, Kotli (PoJK)
This JeM facility stores weapons and accommodates up to 125 cadres. It became more active after the Pathankot airbase attack, with arms moved here from another site.

Maskar Raheel Shahid, Kotli (PoJK)
An old Hizbul Mujahideen camp, hidden in a hilly forest. It offers sniper and survival training to cadres and houses about 25–30 operatives regularly.

Shawai Nallah Camp, Muzaffarabad (PoJK)
A key Lashkar camp for recruiting and training new members. It has a madrassa, firing range, and training ground. Pakistani trainers from the army also assist here.

Syedna Bilal Markaz, Muzaffarabad (PoJK)
This JeM facility functions as a transit camp for terrorists heading into Kashmir. Pakistani special forces are reported to conduct training at this site as well.
