The HPV vaccination campaign against cervical cancer, which was delayed in some mountain districts due to heavy snowfall, will restart on Sunday.
The vaccination drive had stopped in districts like Manang, Mustang, Dolpa, and Humla because of extreme weather conditions. According to Dr. Prakash Budhathoki, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, vaccinations will resume in Manang, Mustang, and Humla on Monday. Dolpa will begin its vaccination program on March 6.
The nationwide campaign, which ran from February 4 to 18, has already covered 92% of its target population. Officials are now working to vaccinate those who were left out.
