A severe flood hit the Bhotekoshi River early Wednesday morning around 3 AM, causing the Trishuli River's water level to rise suddenly. In response, local authorities in Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts have asked people living near the river to remain alert and move to safer ground if needed.

Krishna Prasad Humagai, the Assistant Chief District Officer of Nuwakot, said the flood has already caused erosion in areas like Pairebensi, Betrabati, Trishuli, and Devighat. With the water moving closer to settlements, there's a real risk it could enter homes—so officials are urging everyone to stay cautious.

To help keep people safe, police and armed police teams have been using loudspeakers to warn families living near the river to shift to higher, safer places. The flood has also damaged a power transmission station in Kispang Rural Municipality–5, which connects the Trishuli–Kathmandu power line.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely.
