Under the House of Representatives election, Shram Sanskriti Party chairman Harkaraj Rai (Sampang) has been elected from Sunsari-1.
Sampang secured 35,741 votes to win the seat. His closest rival, Goma Tamang of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), received 27,249 votes.
Meanwhile, CPN-UML candidate Tikaram Limbu obtained 6,463 votes.
