The district attorney's office, Kathmandu has begun questioning Durga Prasain on the charge of committing organized crime and offences against the state. 

Ramhari Sharma Kafle, joint attorney-general, said the questioning began yesterday (April 21). Gradually, we will record his statements in connection with other charges, including murder, he said. Questioning may take several days depending on the case, Kafle said. 

As for the investigation, it will be in accordance with the Prevention of Organized Crime Act, which states that the investigation in cases of organized crimes shall not take more than 60 days. 

Police have arrested Prasain, the self-styled commander of the March 28 protest of pro-royalist forces at Tinkune and Koteshwor, and several others, including Rabindra Mishra, senior vice-president of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, for an investigation into incidents of looting, vandalism, arson and deaths that occurred during the protest.
