Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that Bidya Bhattarai stepped down as Minister for Education, Science and Technology because of health issues, not due to any disagreements or lack of support from the government.
Speaking at the 76th anniversary of the Nepal Communist Party, PM Oli addressed the rumors, saying, “I appointed her as Education Minister and fully supported her. Her resignation was based on health concerns, and there’s no need for unnecessary speculation.”
Oli also criticized claims that linked Nepali Congress leader Sher Bahadur Deuba’s current trip to Bangkok with attempts to weaken the government. He dismissed the rumors and confirmed that, according to their agreement, he will hand over the Prime Minister's post to Deuba after 15 months.
