After reaching record highs in recent days, gold prices in Nepal fell sharply today, dropping by Rs 4,200 per tola to trade at Rs 2,35,000, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers. Gold had hit an all-time high of Rs 2,39,200 per tola yesterday and Rs 2,38,000 the day before.

The recent surge in gold prices had set new records since last Friday, but today’s decline marks a notable correction. Meanwhile, silver prices continued their upward trend, rising by Rs 60 per tola to reach Rs 3,085, up from Rs 3,025 yesterday.

Market analysts suggest that fluctuations in international gold markets, combined with domestic demand variations, contributed to the sudden drop in gold prices while boosting silver values.
