Gold prices retreated in the domestic market on Thursday, slipping by Rs 2,000 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.
With the decline, gold is being traded at Rs 265,700 per tola, down from Rs 267,700 a day earlier. The price had touched a record high of Rs 270,600 per tola on December 28.
Silver prices also moved downward, falling by Rs 100 per tola to Rs 4,835. On Wednesday, silver was traded at Rs 4,935 per tola, its recent peak.
