Fog Likely in Terai, Weather Mostly Clear Elsewhere

The country is currently seeing a slight effect of westerly winds, along with a weak influence from a low-pressure system in the southwest Bay of Bengal.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the weather is partly cloudy in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. The hilly and mountainous areas in other parts of the country are mostly clear.

Fog and mist have been reported in the Terai areas of Koshi, Madhes, and Lumbini provinces. Similar foggy conditions are also expected in some other Terai areas.

The Division said that fog and mist may continue in most Terai regions until noon today. During the day, the weather will remain partly cloudy in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, while the hills and mountains will stay mostly clear.

Tonight, fog is likely in some Terai areas, but clear weather is expected to continue in the hilly and mountainous regions.
