After India carried out an attack in Pakistan last night, several airlines have issued travel advisories. Air India, SpiceJet, and IndiGo have informed that flights to many areas have been affected.
Due to the current situation, Air India has cancelled all flights to and from Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh and Rajkot until 12 pm, according to Indian media.
SpiceJet has also suspended flights to northern cities like Dharamshala, Leh, Jammu, Srinagar and Amritsar until further notice.
IndiGo said its flights are also affected and has requested passengers to travel only after checking the latest updates. All three airlines have advised travelers to check their flight status before going to the airport.
Meanwhile, Pakistani authorities have announced the closure of airspace around major cities like Lahore and Karachi. This includes major airports such as Islamabad International Airport.
Tensions between India and Pakistan worsened after an attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir on April 22, which killed 26 tourists, including one Nepali.
