Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal has intensified efforts to recover state resources unlawfully taken by former officials.
As part of the campaign, former Speakers Krishna Bahadur Mahara and Onsari Gharti, along with former National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, have officially returned government vehicles, Khanal confirmed.
Earlier, the Finance Ministry had announced it was monitoring political and bureaucratic ex-officials who were enjoying facilities from state coffers despite no legal provision allowing them such benefits.
