The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) on Sunday raided two houses in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur, belonging to Bhushan Rana and his parents, who are relatives of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba. Rana is the brother of former Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba.

 

According to CIB, the operation was carried out following information about possible suspicious cash or documents. However, officials confirmed that no incriminating items were recovered during the search.

 

The raid was conducted in the presence of the local ward chair and witnessed by family members. Bhushan Rana was not at home at the time, though his parents were present. Police also prepared an official report of the search.
