EV Hiace Driver Dies in Baitadi Road Accident

A driver of an electric Hiace vehicle died in a road accident in Baitadi last night.

The vehicle was traveling from Khochlek to Kalagaun in Dogadakedar Rural Municipality-3 when it crashed near Ghodhar on the Sillegada-Badiya road.

The driver, Madan Thagunna from Dogadakedar–5, was critically injured and later died while receiving treatment at Dadeldhura Hospital, said Baldev Badu, spokesperson of the District Police Office.

Police reported that Thagunna was the only person in the vehicle, which fell about 250 meters off the road. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
